FAQ
What should I wear?
As this is a professional therapeutic massage practice you will be required to keep your underwear on at all times and all areas that aren't being worked on will be covered under the sheets. Any inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session and be charged at full costs.
Do you do gift vouchers?
IMPORTANT UPDATE
Can you see more than one person at a time?
No. As all therapists in the building work independently, I can only ever see one client at a time. However if you don't mind waiting, we have a sofa at reception and there's also a café on the corner.
Where can I park my car?
How often should I book a treatment?
Everybody is different and there is no straight forward answer to this. You usually get more out of a treatment if you stay on top of things by scheduling regular sessions every 4-6 weeks. Depending on your job or exercise routine you might also prefer to book once a week or fortnight. For acute pain or specific treatments (i.e. Sciatica or frequent headaches) sometimes one or two treatments can be sufficient.
What type of treatment do I need / will I be sore?
Each treatment is tailored to your needs and I will assess your needs with you before and during your treatment. If your muscles aren't used to regular massages you might get a bit sore within 24 hours after your treatment, however this will ease up within 48 hours and you'll find your mobility will improve. (Just like working out at the gym, massage acts like a passive muscle workout and depending on your stress levels, muscles can sometimes be a bit 'moody' too and respond differently)
What if I need to cancel?
How can I postpone/reschedule an appointment?
If you can no longer attend an appointment but wish to come at a different time instead, simply make a new booking within the booking system and send me an email or text message (as previously described under "What if I need to cancel?") to let me know about the change. I will then take your initial appointment out of the booking system.
What type of products do you use?
I exclusively use homemade massage wax made from beeswax, shea butter and sunflower oil. Wax allows me better grip on the skin and also doesn't soil fabrics. If you have any allergies, please feel free to bring your own massage oil with you to use on the day.
Do you do pregnancy massage?
Unfortunately I am not specifically qualified in pregnancy massage, however if you like, I can refer you to another therapist within the same building who specialises in pregnancy treatments.
How much is a treatment?
Please refer to my website for a fully detailed price list and treatment description.
How do I make an appointment?
Do you have a cancelation list?
If you can't find your preferred appointment time, please feel free to send me a text message on 07402 462 571 to check for any possible cancelations on the day.
Will insurance pay for my treatment?
Payment will have to be made on the day, however you might be eligible to claim your money back with your insurance in return for your receipt. Please check with your insurance in advance if you are eligible for any reimbursements.
Can I get a receipt?
Yes. To save the environment I have decided against paper receipts, however I can email your receipt to you or send you an internet link to your phone.
Can I pay by card?
Yes. There's no need for you to go to an ATM prior to your appointment. Depending on your bank, you can also pay contactless or with signature instead of using a PIN.
I have trouble taking the stairs/are you on the ground floor?
Unfortunately there are a few steps to get to the front door and another flight of stairs up to our practice and reception on the first floor. (Please keep this in mind when buying a voucher for someone who might struggle with stairs). I do however have a hydraulic massage table which can be lowered.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, bookings are necessary.
